Quality Inspection and Performance Test Standards for Pipe Repair Coupling

As pressure-bearing sealing components related to pipeline operation safety,pipe repair couplings must pass strict factory inspection and performance testing to ensure that dimensional accuracy,mechanical performance and sealing indicators meet industry standards.Standardized testing and inspection systems are important guarantees for controlling product quality and avoiding engineering application risks.
Appearance and dimensional inspection are basic inspection items.Inspect the coupling shell for no cracks,trachoma,deformation and burrs,and check the sealing gasket for no bubbles,damage and aging defects.Precision detection of inner and outer diameter,bolt hole spacing and structural symmetry is carried out to ensure that dimensional tolerance is within the standard range,avoiding installation mismatch caused by dimensional deviation and affecting sealing effect.
Hydraulic pressure resistance test is the core performance test.According to different pressure grades,static pressure tests are carried out on repair couplings.Conventional municipal grade products withstand 1.6MPa pressure holding test,and industrial grade products pass 2.5MPa ultra-high pressure test.Maintain test pressure for a specified time to verify no deformation,no leakage and no structural damage of the coupling,ensuring pressure-bearing safety under extreme working conditions.
Sealing performance test simulates actual pipeline operating environments,conducting cyclic pressure and variable temperature sealing tests.Detect the sealing stability of the coupling under long-term pressure holding,temperature alternation and vibration conditions,evaluate the adaptability of sealing gaskets to complex working conditions,and verify no micro-leakage in the effective sealing area.Accelerated aging test is used to simulate long-term environmental erosion and evaluate product service life.
Corrosion resistance test is essential for outdoor and industrial products.Salt spray test and medium immersion test are adopted to detect the anti-corrosion performance of metal shell and sealing materials,ensuring stable performance in humid,saline and corrosive environments.Only products that pass all inspection items can be put into engineering application,ensuring the safety and durability of pipeline repair projects.
